Doté d’une superficie de 115 hectares, le parc du Château de Chantilly réunit plusieurs époques de création : le jardin à la française dessiné par André Le Nôtre au XVIIe siècle, le jardin anglo-chinois à la fin du XVIIIe siècle et le jardin anglais au début du XIXe siècle. Il offre ainsi un témoignage unique du rapport entre l’homme et la nature en Occident depuis plus de trois siècles.

With its 115 hectare-area, the park of the castle in Chantilly gathers several creation periods: the formal garden designed by André le Nôtre during the 17th Century, the landscaped chinese garden created at the end of the 18th Century and the British garden imagined at the beginning of the 19th Century. It is then the unique testimony of the relationship between Human Beings and Nature in western countries, that has been lasting for more than three centuries.
